A review on accommodations:
1) Days Hotel, London - Walking distance from the tube station, and amenities. Affordable prices and in the heart of London. Major attractions (Big Ben & London Eye) are in walking distance.
Getting around London is easy but rather costly. Walking would not only allow you to see the sights, but the sights are of walking distance.
2) Caterina Apartments, Budapest, Hungary - This guesthouse is affordable and in walking distance to the train station as well as amenities. Breakfast is provided, but it may be a little noisy as the doors slam.
Getting around Budapest is affordable, but challenging if you do not understand Hungarian as all signs are only in Hungarian.
3) Dormio Resort, Obertraun, Hallstatt - This resort is a quite a rip off. It was priced at the lowest price on a booking website. However, in smaller fine prints, the resort charges additional “resort” fee that was supposed to include cleaning, bed sheets, towels and soap. However, the amount of soap provided is only sufficient for one person. Waited about an hour and a half just to check in when I had already arrived an hour after the possible check in time. The staff were not diligent and did not get back to me about the room until I asked her. The staff in poor in German language and do not know much information about Hallstatt so do your own research and do not waste your time asking them. Food is generally overpriced as only tourists visit this area.
4) Hostel Florenc, Prague, Czech Republic - This hostel provides one of the best breakfast that is included in a cheap accommodation price. Everything is amazing except that the number of shower rooms and toilets are limited and insufficient.
Getting around Prague is convenient and affordable. A day passes are highly recommended.
5) Rembrandt Square Hotel, Amsterdam, Netherlands - This hotel is rather small and expensive. It is walking distance from the train station and amenities. However, it provides a good spread of breakfast and is in walking distance to most of Amsterdam’s attractions.
6) Bus Hostel, Reykjavik, Iceland - This hostel is very safe, cheap and extremely clean. However, this hostel is not as near to the city centre as expected and be prepared to know that you will be the last to be dropped off on every single tour as Bus Hostel is located closest to the bus terminal. But overall, this is one of the most value for money accommodation that you can find in Reykjavik.
