A review on tour:

1) Tibet Vista - Quite a number of complaints for this tour company. After booking this tour, the company said that they were able to send my Tibetan visa to my home country. After which, they texted me saying that they are only able to send it to my hotel in Beijing when I was in transit. Just a few days before my departure, they told me that the hotel rejected my parcel and that I have to pay USD$120 so that their tour guide could pass the Tibetan visa to be in person.

The tour itself was okay and the guide was knowledgeable. However, he does not allow us to stand in the shade and explained the sights under the hot sun. Due to the high altitude, the UV rays are actually stronger and more lethal in Tibet.

At one of the hotels, my guide told me that I had to share a hotel room when I paid extra for single supplement because the hotel was "short on rooms". It happened to another person in my tour group as well. After being firm and insisting that we need to have our single rooms, we were then given our single rooms. This is not the way to do business and run the tour.

Moreover, there were oxygen tanks, one each for each person on the tour. However, the tour guide did not brief or give me my share for keeping. I had to ask the other members of the tour before getting one on the last day of the tour.
