A review on accommodations:

1) Lefteris Traditional Rooms, Santorini, Fira - Very near to the bus station and there are many restaurants and bakeries nearby. Wifi is good, with hot shower and a nice balcony view, though the sights are not the best. Quite hard to find as the location on Google maps is wrong. So do email the person before hand or check out my review, where I gave the exact coordinates of this hotel.

Getting around the Santorini is very accessible, with buses going to most parts of the island and definitely covers all tourist attractions. Bus rides are cheap and paid on board, do check out the timetables at: http://ktel-santorini.gr/ktel/index.php/en/

2) Chameleon Youth Hostel, Athens - 5 minutes walk from the station and about 10 minutes walk to the Acropolis of Athens. Extremely central and there are many restaurants nearby. A supermarket is just beside it. Facilities are great, equipped with a full-functioning kitchen and a sky roof. There is a cute Golden Retriever roaming around throughout the day. There is air-conditioning during summer and it is an extremely safe hostel to be in.

Getting around Athens is very simple and all tourist attractions are in walkable distance, so there is no need to take the train unless going to and from the airport. Do note that you have to buy a special airport ticket for airport transfers.

3) Pura Vida Sky Bar & Hostel, Bucharest, Romania - This hostel is only recommended if you are on a tight budget. The power sockets in the rooms are poorly located and there are no extension wires. In the 6-bed room, there were only two power sockets located at the door. Remember to check which room you actually booked for as I was given a 6-bed room on the first night when I booked a 4-bed one. The showering facilities are bad; no space to hang anything and the space for showering is small. The toilets do have an odour. As there is a sky bar, this hostel is extremely noisy late at night. Other guests often get drunk and start shouting and running along corridors, slamming doors and also knocking on doors. There is no key to lock your room so people who have access to your floor can get into your room. Do request for a locker key or bring all important belongings with you.

Getting around Bucharest is fairly simple with the help of trains and buses. People generally do not speak English here so be sure to know where you are going or learn to pronounce the places that you want to go in Romanian. Do also plan ahead of time if you want to go to Tulcea, Danube Delta as tickets do sell out. Food and transport is extremely affordable.
