A review on accommodations:
1) B&B Brera, Milan - Right in the city centre, and walkable distance from Milan’s Central Train Station. The staff do not know English very well so do give some time while checking in. Overall, it is clean, has good wifi and the toliet is huge. The only bad thing is that there is no air-conditioning and it might be hard to find because the entrance to B&B Brera is not on the main street.
2) Ostello S. Fosca, Venice - 10 minutes walking from the train station, a hostel for students during term time so it is will equipped with a kitchen and shower facilities. The bad thing is that the wifi signal is very weak.
3) Plus Florence Hostel - Very central and air-conditioned. Considered to be Florence’s number 1 luxury hostel. Wifi signal is very good, with a television in the room.
4) Hotel Beautiful 2, Rome - Right next to Roma Termini. Traditional, old-school room with television. But wifi is weak in the room.
5) A Casa Di Chiara, Palermo - A guesthouse that is quite hard to find when you arrive in Palermo City Centre. However, the owner, Chiara is very welcoming and breakfast is included. Wifi signal is alright and the bedroom and bathroom facilities are amazing.
Travelling around Italy is easy and accessible using Trenitalia. You have to book your tickets online and print them before travelling so that it will quicken the travelling process. One thing to note is that when purchasing tickets, the train stations are in Italian. There is free wifi on board intercity trains on Trenitalia, but do have a debit card ready and a roaming phone to receive the wifi password. Not to worry, they won’t charge your card.
