A review of accomodations:
1) Moderne Hostel - Very conveniently located with shuttles running all through the night. Kitchen is fully equipped. It may be rather dark at night.
Getting around Yosemite is easy during the summer as there is public bus running from Mammoth Lakes to Yosemite. Visit https://yarts.com/ for more information on prices and schedules.
Certain trails are extremely strenuous, especially with the summer weather. Do check if the trails are open.
